Jewel Facets - Photographic Art Wall Art

These images capture precise moments in the dance between sky reflections and sparkling sunlight on Tassajara Creek's ever-changing surface. Colored rocks, fallen leaves and cast shadows on the creek bed add depth and drama to the moment-to-moment interplay of the elements. Being drawn to the water again and again, as it revealed its sublime beauty, the artist began to feel she was The Creek's muse, rather than it hers. Deborah's interest in photographing moving water was sparked when she read about composer John Cage's use of chance procedures to eliminate artistic preferences in his work. This subject matter also reflects one of the basic tenants of Zen Buddhism, the Law of Impermanence.
